Place the eggs in a saucepan in a single layer.
Add enough water to cover the eggs by at least 2.5 cm .
(Optional) Add a pinch of salt.
Bring water to a boil over medium-high heat.
Once boiling, reduce heat slightly and cook to your liking:
Boiled : 5–6 min
Calves : 7–9 min
Hard : 10–12 min
Immediately remove the eggs and immerse them in a bowl of iced (or cold) water for 5 minutes to stop the cooking.
