Creamy dessert with iced grapes

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Soak the raisins:  Place the raisins in a small bowl and cover them with rum, orange juice, or warm water. Let them soak for 20 to 30 minutes to expand. Drain and pat dry.
  2. Whip the cream:  In a large, chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Continue whipping until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip.
  3. Add the sweetened condensed milk:  Gently fold the sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream using a spatula. Mix until smooth and evenly combined.
  4. Stir in raisins and additional ingredients:  Add the soaked raisins to the creamed mixture. If using crushed cookies or nuts, stir them in now for added texture and flavor.
  5. Freezing:  Pour the mixture into a loaf pan or freezer-safe container lined with parchment paper. Smooth the top and cover with plastic wrap or a lid. Freeze for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  6. Serving: Once frozen, slice or divide the dessert into bowls. Garnish with raisins, cookie crumbs, or a drizzle of honey if desired. Serve immediately.
