“I made this as a bday cake and people were coming back for 2nd and 3rd helpings.”

  1. Prepare  Cake Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the contents of 1 box of yellow  cake mix, 1 container of coconut pecan frosting, ⅔ cup oil, 1 cup water, and 4 large eggs. Blend together with an electric mixer until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  2. Add Pecans to Batter: Gently fold in the ½ cup of finely chopped pecans into the cake batter until evenly distributed.
  3. Bake Cake: Spread the mixture evenly into a 9×13-inch baking dish that has been well greased. Bake in a preheated oven (refer to cake mix box instructions, typically 350°F or 175°C) for approximately 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  4. Prepare Praline Topping (While Cake Bakes/Warm): While the cake is still warm from the oven, prepare the topping. In a pot over medium heat, add the 2 tablespoons unsalted butter and 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until the butter has completely melted and the mixture is warm and smooth.
  5. Finish Topping: Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the 1 cup chopped pecans.
  6. Assemble & Serve: Immediately spread the warm topping mixture evenly over the warm baked cake.
  7. Enjoy! Serve the Pecan Praline Cake warm, allowing the rich flavors to meld beautifully.

SERVE AND ENJOY !!!
