Salmon and asparagus in foil with lemon garlic sauce

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients and the oven

Before you begin, preheat your oven to 220°C to ensure the salmon and asparagus are cooked through. Meanwhile, cut two large sheets of aluminum foil, wide enough to completely envelop the salmon fillets and asparagus. This method of cooking en papillote seals in all the flavors and moisture of the ingredients, resulting in tender and juicy results.

Step 2: Seasoning the salmon and asparagus

In a bowl, combine vegetable broth, fresh lemon juice, and Sriracha sauce to create a flavorful marinade that will enhance the flavor of the salmon. Next, take your fresh salmon fillets and season them generously on both sides with salt and ground black pepper. Place each fillet on a sheet of aluminum foil, then scatter the fresh asparagus around the fish to ensure even cooking.

Step 3: Adding Flavors and Fat

Sprinkle the salmon fillets and asparagus with finely minced garlic, a key ingredient that will add an irresistible touch of flavor. Then, gently pour the previously prepared marinade over all the ingredients, so that they soak up the tangy and spicy aromas. Finish by spreading pieces of butter over the salmon and asparagus: as they melt, they will add a soft texture and a deliciously indulgent flavor.
